SH police upgrade services to attract more overseas talents

Shanghai police have established an express platform for overseas talents and launched a service package for them, continuously facilitating their coming to China and Shanghai, staying in Shanghai, and integrating into Shanghai.

The platform involves multiple police branches, covering exit-entry, public security, traffic and population management, jointly handling various high-frequency public security services. The platform has set up service windows in Pudong’s Zhangjiang and Hongqiao CBD, facilitating "one-stop" handling of multiple affairs in the fields of immigration, public security, traffic management, and household registration.

Qualified high-level foreign talents and those from Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan as well as their families can handle 12 high-frequency paper works at the special windows, including foreign visa, permanent residence, and Hong Kong, Macao, and Taiwan personnel entry-exit documents. Currently, immigration services can be processed on-site, while other services need appointment.

Meanwhile, the platform has also produced a bilingual Chinese-English "Overseas Talent Service Handbook," detailing the practical information needed by overseas talents when handling public security services in the fields of immigration, public security, traffic management, and household registration.
