English Kindergarten - Homeroom Teacher

Responsibilities:

Teach a minimum of 15 periods per week
• Lead a team of four in the assigned classroom. These positions
are Homeroom Teacher (this position), Chinese Teacher, Teacher’s Assistant, and a Life Teacher.
• Work with students in PreK (age 4) or K (age 5), as assigned for the school year, in a self-contained classroom teaching all the major academic subjects (reading, writing, math, science, social studies)
• Work on curriculum development, which includes preparing effective diverse lesson units using our curriculum, Star Fall as a framework
• Collaborate with grade level teachers
• Design authentic assessments and measure their effectiveness in meeting curricular goals
• Promote motivated learners, healthy individuals, and social development
• Maintain and update timely student records including grading, homework, quarterly assessments, semester report cards, and other required documents
• Actively fulfill assigned supervision duties

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education. However a
bachelors’ degree in a related field (elementary, curriculum) will
be considered
• Eligible for a valid teaching license/certificate
• 2 years full-time teaching in a regular kindergarten or
prekindergarten school setting
• Evidence of current relevant professional development especially
in early childhood instruction

Benefit:

Salary is from 25,000 to 35000RMB/mo
