“Plateau forest sea, cool world” Great Wall Ridge

In the east of Chongli District, Zhangjiakou City, the Great Wall Ridge is located at the junction of mountains in northwest Hebei and Inner Mongolia plateau, with the highest altitude of 2,100 meters. The mountain jungle scenery is enchanting, and the plateau grassland is vast and empty. The Great Wall ridge got its name from the Ming Dynasty Great Wall relic. Built during the Northern Wei Dynasty and rebuilt in the reign Chenghua and Wanli of the Ming Dynasty, the Great Wall stretches 122.6 kilometers in Chongli. There are 153 watchtowers, and beacon towers along the route. The central scenic area of Great Wall Ridge and Cuiyun Mountain, known as “plateau forest sea and cool world”, is surrounded by mountains, with fresh air, dense forests and wild ffowers. The forest coverage rate reaches 70%, and the negative oxygen ion content exceeds 10,000 per cubic centimeter. The average temperature in summer is 18.5℃ . There are many kinds of wild animals and plants in the scenic area, which is an ideal resort for leisure and summer vacation.
