School Introduction 

Tangshan No.1 High School, abbreviated as Tangshan No.1 High School, was founded in 1902. Its predecessor was Yongping Prefectural Middle School and Huaying Academy in Zhili Province. It is one of the earliest secondary schools in modern China and the alma mater of the great pioneer of the communist movement, Mr. Li Dazhao. For over a hundred years, the school has trained a large number of outstanding talents for the country, including 9 academicians from the Chinese Academy of Sciences and Chinese Academy of Engineering. 
The school covers an area of 255 acres with a total construction area of 127000 square meters. There are currently 3600 students on campus; There are 330 faculty and staff members, including 256 teachers and 126 qualified senior professional titles; There are also 18 foreign teachers. At present, our school has 10 senior teachers and 14 special grade teachers; 2 National Model Teachers, 1 National Excellent Teacher, and 1 National Famous Teacher; There are 18 famous teachers in Hebei Province and 35 backbone teachers in Hebei Province; There are 49 famous teachers in the city.

As one of the first demonstration high schools in Hebei Province, Tangshan No.1 High School has been commended multiple times by the Ministry of Education and the provincial and municipal governments.
