School Introduction
Hebei Tangshan Foreign Language School, also known as Tangshan No.8 Middle School, is a key high school in Hebei Province, founded in 1955. The first foreign language school in Hebei Province was founded in 1996 and named "Hebei Province's First Foreign Language High School" by the Education Department of Hebei Province. In 2002, it was renamed as Hebei Tangshan Foreign Language School, with one school and two locations. It is a municipal high school and a provincial demonstration high school.
No.8 Middle School has a glorious history and is a prestigious high school with considerable influence in Tangshan City. It has a high social reputation, is admired by students, and loved by the masses. There is a strong leadership collective in No. 8 Middle School, with rich experience in teaching management, rigorous academic research, and a good school atmosphere.
Eighth Middle School has a strong faculty, with 74 teaching classes, 4000 students, and 350 faculty members. More than 95% of teachers hold a bachelor's degree or above, with 48 holding senior professional titles in secondary schools and 72 holding intermediate professional titles.
The school covers an area of 132 acres and has a building area of approximately 59000 square meters. There are 28 laboratories in physics, chemistry, biology, and various professional classrooms in music, art, information technology, etc. There are campus TV62 stations, radio stations, campus networks, digital observatories, geography laboratories, and a digital planet projection demonstration teaching system.
