The Foreign Experts Bookstore of Hebei International Studies University

The Foreign Experts Bookstore of Hebei International Studies University , founded in December 2019, is the first foreign experts bookhouse set up in Hebei Province and Shijiazhuang City. Relying on the foreign language books and materials of the university, as well as books donated by Chinese embassies and consulates abroad and foreign embassies in China, the Foreign Experts Bookhouse of Hebei International Studies University has collected more than 5,000 multilingual books related to politics, economy, culture, diplomacy and other fields, covering 15 languages, including English, Spanish, Russian, Japanese, German, French, and Azerbaijani, of which 12 are the official languages of countries along the "the Belt and Road". The books of the bookhouse covers politics, economy, culture, education, Chinese learning and other fields, and maintains real-time updates. 

The bookhouse currently has one full-time administrative staff and three part-time administrative staff, who are responsible for the daily operation and management.. There are three fixed activity areas, including a book reading room, a cultural activity room, and a cultural center, with a total area of 550 square meters.
Innovative methods and forms to tell the story of China
As a communication platform and service carrier for foreign experts, the Foreign Experts Bookhouse explores innovative ways and methods to serve foreign experts. 
Since the beginning of its establishment, the Bookhouse has been conducting a deep cooperation with the Hebei Provincial Library. The two sides jointly organized the "Reading and Enjoying Seasons - Joining Hands to Start the Winter Olympics Theme Reading Series" event, which was attended by more than 40 foreign experts from Hebei International Studies University and nearly a thousand citizens of Shijiazhuang. By appreciating programs and answering questions, foreign experts have gained a comprehensive understanding of the Chinese Winter Olympics, and the participation of citizens has also promoted the vigorous development of winter sports.

Using books to convey emotions, turning "we talk" into "others talk"
Since the completion of the bookhouse, Hebei International Studies University has received over 200 original books and textbooks of languages and cultures in Azerbaijani, Spanish, and Indonesian and other languages, donated by the Embassy of Azerbaijan, the Embassy of the Republic of Cuba in China, and the Embassy of Indonesia in China and other foreign embassies in China. 
Mr. Pereira, Ambassador of the Republic of Cuba to China, is very familiar with China's national conditions and is an authentic "China expert". He said, "I hope that the Cuban academicians and all foreign experts atHebei International Studies University can learn Chinese well and find a sense of belonging."
Service warms people's hearts and enhances a sense of belonging and happiness
In the bookhouse, Chinese language books suitable for various learning stages have become a major feature, and foreign experts actively learn Chinese while reading books from their own countries. The bookhouse organizes Chinese language training, offering beginner, intermediate, and advanced classes based on the Chinese proficiency of foreign experts. The classes are held 2-4 times a week, twice a year, allowing foreign experts to learn Chinese while also gaining a better understanding of Chinese culture.

In the future, the Foreign Experts Bookhouse of Hebei International Studies University will continue to be improved and developed, making itself an ideal channel for foreign experts to appreciate Chinese civilization and culture. Using books as a medium, foreign experts can better integrate into China, taste China, and promote China. We also believe that people with various skin colors and languages from various civilizations, through reading and reading books, will surely walk steadily and create beauty together in the beautiful initiative of a community with a shared future for mankind.
