1.School profile:

During the past 70 years, Hebei University of Economics and Business (HUEB), a key university in the province, has become a multidisciplinary financial and economic institution focusing on economics, management and law, while combining philosophy, literature, science, engineering and art.

2.Location:

HUEB is divided into three campuses: north, south and west. The north campus is the the headquarters, located in the waterfront landscape belt of the western ecological zone in Shijiazhuang City. Covering an area of over 175 hectares, the campus, 40% of which is of green area, has been awarded the title of "National Greening Model Unit".

3.History:
1953:Founded in 1953 as Shijiazhuang School of Supply and Sales under the administration of Hebei Supply and Sales Corporation.
1995:In 1995, it was integrated of three former institutions, including Hebei College of Finance and Economics, Hebei College of Economics and Trade, and Hebei Advanced Academy of Business.
4.Scale:

HUEB has more than 21,000 undergraduate and postgraduate students on campus, as well as 1,857 faculty and staff members, including 786 with associate professorship or higher titles and 629 with doctorates.
5.Discipline of HUEB:

At present, the university, which is the first-rate higher institution with preferential support from the province, has 15 undergraduate colleges, 1 teaching departments (centers), in addition to graduate school, Marxist school, and continuing education school. Of all the programs, applied economics has been identified as the "double first-class" discipline enjoying key support in the province, and Marxist theory and law have been classified as the key disciplines for cultivation.
Hebei University of Economics and Business currently has 48 undergraduate majors, 10 first-level disciplines to award master degree and 18 authorization sites to award professional master degrees.  It has 11 construction sites for national first-class undergraduate majors, 27 construction sites for provincial first-class undergraduate majors, with the number of first-class majors accounting for 79% of the total. Our university is included in the construction of first-class universities with preferential support from Hebei Province. Applied Economics is identified as a key discipline for “double first-class” construction in Hebei Province, while Marxist Theory and Law are identified as key disciplines for cultivation.
6.International Exchange:

HUEB attaches great importance to the international exchanges and cooperation, and maintains long-term exchanges and cooperation with institutions of higher learning and educational institutions in over 50 countries including the United States, the United Kingdom, Italy and others.

As an excellent talent-introduction unit in Hebei Province, HUEB has successfully established the academician workstation by introducing outstanding foreign experts and their teams. A team of foreign experts is organized, composed of specialists from internationally renowned universities such as Italy, Russia, the United States, Australia, and Canada. All of the over 100 foreign experts have obtained master's or doctoral degrees from internationally renowned universities, with excellent professional backgrounds, who have helped to train a large number of distinct talents with broad international perspectives. There are "Library for Excellent Foreign Experts" and "Foreign Experts Apartment" on the campus.

HUEB is one of the institutions that undertake the training of international students in China with Chinese government scholarships and international Chinese teachers with scholarship. It has cultivated over 500 overseas students from more than 40 countries.
