Zhejiang Hangzhou King’s school for Children of Foreign Personnel is located at 3 Guowen Road, Yuhang District, Hangzhou. The campus covers an area of 26,851 square metres, whilst it has 41,451 square metres of indoor space within the school buildings. King’s College International School Hangzhou (KINGS) was established in November 2018 by the Zhejiang Provincial Education Department. It’s mission is to integrate the best of Chinese and Western education, to build a world-class learning community, and to maximise each student’s potential. It was co-founded by King's College School, Wimbledon from the UK, Dipont Education Group with more than 20 years of international education experience, and the Yuhang District Government of Hangzhou City.
At present, KINGS has a teacher-student ratio of 1:5. The school follows the UK National Curriculum Standards and the Extended Curriculum Framework. Chinese language teaching is added to Key Stage 1-2, with Key Stage 1 covering a wide range of subjects including English, Mathematics, Science, Chinese, Geography, Computer Studies, Arts, and more. Key Stage 2 adding Information Technology and Social Studies, Health and Citizenship Education. Key Stage 3 continues with the British National Curriculum and incorporates Chinese language learning, with IGCSE subjects starting in Year 8. International students are required to complete their IGCSEs by Year 11 to progress to A-Levels.
