Apart from telling the evolution and the stories of the seawall in the past dynasties, the visit allows you to stand on the original course of the Qiantang River and see its "Fishscale Seawall" in the most direct way.

Longxing Temple Sutra Pillar
One of the very few early architectural objects in China, it is the oldest existing stone carved scripture pillar in Zhejiang, as well as the oldest existing building in Hangzhou. The pillar is engraved with Buddhosnisah Tuoluoni Scripture in the exquisite handwriting of Hu Jiliang, a famous Tang Dynasty calligrapher.

Six Harmonies Pagoda/Liuheta
The six harmonies of the majestic pagoda refer to the harmonies of "heaven and earth and four directions". It was fi rst built in the Song Dynasty by the Wuyue King Qian Hongchu to suppress the river tides. In the lunar August, when the Qianjiang River surge is at its peak, it has been a popular site for local and visitors alike to watch the tall tide and listen to the roaring waves.

Wenlan Pavilion
One of the seven national book houses built during the reign of Qing Emperor Qianlong to preserve the Complete Book of the Four Repositories, Wenlan Pavilion is the only surviving one among the three in southern China. Located in the former palace of the Qing Emperor Kangxi, it is now an important part of Zhejiang Provincial Museum. The elegant garden architecture, featuring typical Jiangnan style, integrates the balanced, symmetrical, solemn and rigorous characteristics of a royal monument.

Zhejiang Industrial Bank, founded in 1923, is one of the earliest commercial institutions in China. It is now the Yangbatou Branch of Industrial and Commercial Bank of China. Designed by Shen Liyuan, a modern architect, the bank building features a retro Western architectural style, which has made it a famous "Internet celebrity" photo stop in Hangzhou.
