Hospital Introduction

The hospital was founded in 1958 and is a provincial-level comprehensive tertiary Grade A hospital that integrates medical treatment, teaching, scientific research, prevention, health care, rehabilitation, and first aid. It has been ranked among the top 100 best hospitals in China several times and has been recognized as an "Advanced Collective in the National Health System" and a "National Demonstration Unit for Traditional Chinese Medicine Work in Comprehensive Hospitals" Honorary titles such as "Top 100 Hospitals in the Health System of Hebei Province" and "Integrity Unit in Medical Purchasing and Marketing and Medical Services of Hebei Province".

The hospital has four campuses in Zhongshan, Youyi, Xiangjiang, and Xiangjiang New Area, with four-wheel drive and two wing resonance. There are a total of 2608 open beds and 83 clinical medical technology departments. Covering a total area of 150 acres, with a total construction area of 250000 square meters. The hospital has outstanding advantages in distinctive specialties. Orthopedics, as one of the first clinical key specialties in the country, has developed into a well-established orthopedic medical center with complete departments and academic institutions. In addition, it also has 4 national clinical key specialties including nephrology, infectious diseases, and neurology, 2 national traditional Chinese medicine key specialties including nephrology and integrated traditional Chinese and Western medicine liver disease, 13 provincial-level clinical key specialties, and 12 provincial-level medical key disciplines. Nephrology is a key specialty of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine during the 12th Five Year Plan period, a vascular access training base of the China Hospital Association, and a county-level blood purification training base nationwide. The Infectious Diseases Department has been approved as a national key clinical specialty construction project, and is an important base for clinical diagnosis and treatment, scientific research, and talent cultivation of difficult and severe infectious diseases in North China. The Department of Hepatology with Integrated Traditional Chinese and Western Medicine is a collaborative unit of the National Clinical Medical Research Center for Liver Diseases, a key liver disease specialty of the National Administration of Traditional Chinese Medicine during the 11th Five Year Plan period, and a director unit of the Chinese Society of Biomedical Immunology. Our hospital is the only hospital in the province with qualifications for liver transplantation and corneal transplantation. It is an affiliated unit of Hebei Province's Organ Acquisition Organization (OPO), the location of Hebei Province's regional eye bank, and the location of the Red Cross eye bank. Our corneal transplantation technology is comprehensive and leading domestically. Since its establishment in 2002, the Hepatobiliary Surgery Transplantation Team has completed nearly 600 cases of various liver transplantation surgeries.

The hospital has implemented a talent driven strategy and currently has 3226 employees, including 1 academician of the Chinese Academy of Engineering, 1 Changjiang Scholar Distinguished Professor, 1 Changjiang Young Scholar, 20 State Council Special Experts, 63 doctoral supervisors, 295 master's supervisors, and 570 senior professional titles. Academician Zhang Yingze serves as the Chairman of the Orthopedics Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, Vice President of the Chinese Medical Association, President of the Orthopedics Branch of the Chinese Medical Association, and Chairman of the Chinese Reconstructive Surgery Professional Committee. In the past three years, a total of 11 academic staff members or above have been appointed by the hospital to the Standing Committee of the Chinese Medical Association and the Chinese Medical Doctor Association, and a total of 9 chairman members have been appointed to the Hebei Medical Association and the Hebei Medical Doctor Association.
