Means of payment

In Hangzhou, you can use RMB notes, bank card and mobile phone to pay. You are advised to open your WeChat or Alipay to scan or show payment code to pay.
144-hour visa-free transit policy
Under this policy, passengers from 53 countries can enter or exit Xiaoshan International Airport without a visa and stay in Hangzhou for 144 hours without a visa on the basis of their valid international travel documents (valid for at least 3 months) and a connecting ticket to a third country (region) with a confi rmed date and seat within 144 hours.
Standards for voltage use
The power voltage in Hangzhou is 220V AC. Please prepare the voltage converter and plug converter in advance to avoid any inconvenience in charging.
Climate
Hangzhou has four distinct seasons and a typical subtropical monsoon climate. The annual average temperature is 17.8℃, with an average relative humidity of 70.3%. The summer is hot, when the highest temperature can reach 40℃. And the winter is cold, with the lowest temperature at around 0℃. In and Out of Hangzhou
You can take a fl ight to Xiaoshan International Airport and take Metro Line 1, Line 7 or airport shuttle bus to downtown Hangzhou. You may also fl y to Shanghai and take the high-speed train to Hangzhou.

Taxi
The starting price is 13 yuan /3 km. For the distance between 3~10 km, the passenger is charged 2.5 yuan/km; For the part exceeding 10 km, a 50% return allowance will be charged (3.75 yuan/km); If the taxi stops temporarily due to traffi c or at the passenger’s request, every 4 minute will be charged as 1.5km (i.e. a wait of 4 minutes will be charged 3.75 yuan).
Public bicycles
If you buy a "Hangzhou Pass Card" and deposit 200 yuan in the e-wallet, you can rent a public bicycle, or you may download the "Hangzhou Citizen Card official APP" and scan the code to rent a bicycle of the kind. The rent is free within 1 hour; one yuan is charged anytime between one hour and two hours, two yuan for anytime between two and three hours, and three yuan/hour for any rental exceeding 3 hours.
