Hebei(hé běi), abbreviated as Ji, and its the capital city is Shijiazhuang. During the Warring States period, most of the land in Hebei belonged to the states of Zhao and Yan, so Hebei was also known as the land of Yan Zhao. Hebei is located between 113 ° 27 'E to 119 ° 50'E, and 36 ° 05 'N to 42 ° 40' N. It is located in northern part of China, north of the Zhanghe River, bordering the Bohai Sea to the east and circles Beijing and Tianjin inside. Hebei, with Taihang Mounts in its west, Zhangbei Plateau in its north, and the rest parts being Hebei Plain, has a total area of 188800 square kilometers. Regional location
Surrounds the capital Beijing, Hebei Province is located between 113 ° 27 ′ E and 119 ° 50 ′ E, and 36 ° 05 ′ N and 42 ° 40 ′ N. It is located 283 kilometers north of Beijing, adjacent to Tianjin City to the east and adjacent to the Bohai Sea, with Shandong and Henan provinces to the southeast and south, adjacent to Shanxi Province to the west by the Taihang Mountains, bordering Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region to the northwest and north, and Liaoning Province to the northeast.

Administrative division
Also known as Ji, the province covers an area of 188,800 square kilometers and governs 11 Prefecture-level cities, namely Shijiazhuang, Tangshan, Qinhuangdao, Handan, Xingtai, Baoding, Zhangjiakou, Chengde, Cangzhou, Langfang, and Hengshui; it has 167 counties (county-level cities and districts), including 49 municipal districts, 21 county-level cities, 91 counties, and 6 autonomous counties; it governs 2254 townships (streets, district offices), including 310 streets, 1287 towns, 617 townships, 39 ethnic townships, and 1 district office.
Terrain
The terrain of Hebei Province is high in the northwest and low in the southeast, tilting from northwest to southeast. The terrain is complex and diverse, with complete types of plateaus, mountains, hills, basins, and plains. There are three major geomorphic units: Bashang Plateau, Yanshan and Taihang mountain ranges, and Hebei Plain. The Bashang Plateau is part of the Mongolian Plateau, with a terrain that is high in the south and low in the north, with an average elevation of 1,200-1,500 meters and an area of 15,954 square kilometers, accounting for 8.5% of the total area of the province. Yanshan and Taihang Mountains, including four landforms, namely, Zhongshan Mountain, Low Mountain, Hilly Area and intermountain basin, are mostly below 2,000 meters above sea level. There are more than 10 isolated peaks above 2,000 meters, of which Xiaowutai Mountain is 2,882 meters high, being the highest peak in the province. The mountainous area covers 90,280 square kilometers, accounting for 48.1% of the total area of the province. The Hebei Plain is part of the North China Plain, which can be divided into three types of landforms based on its genesis: the mountain front alluvial plain, the central lacustrine plain area and coastal plain area. The total area of the Hebei Plain is 81,459 square kilometers, accounting for 43.4% of the total area of the province.

With a temperate continental monsoon climate, most regions in Hebei have distinct four seasons.

The average temperature in January is below 3 ℃, and the average temperature in July is between 18 ℃ and 27 ℃, with distinct four seasons.
